    OUR STORY

    How Ocean Tales began

    WHERE IT BEGAN

    Hi, I’m Nicole. Lover of the beach and all things summer. Growing up with a pool and a family who loved a summer holiday is where this dream began. Thanks Mum & Dad! Big shout out to Santa too…all those cossies under the Christmas tree bought me so much joy. I want to spread a little of that into the world.

    LIFE BEFORE OCEAN TALES

    My love for fashion started at an early age. Does anyone remember these fashion design studios? Enjoying Textiles & Design at school took me to East Sydney TAFE where I studied Fashion Design. I may have even won the Stage 2 Swimwear competition many moons ago. Graduating from TAFE saw me fall into Children’s wear. Designing for kiddies is the absolute best. You can have so much fun with print and colour. That’s what I love about swimwear. When looking for more in my career, why not marry my two loves together I thought? Fast forward to 2018, the seed for Ocean Tales was planted.

    Ocean Tales began as a team of three. Mum (Cathy), Aunty (Karen) and I were holidaying at our family favourite spot, South West Rocks. Whilst swimming in the crystal clear waters of Horseshoe Bay, Ocean Tales was born. Having my own fashion label was an aspirational goal I never thought possible. Coming together with my Mum and Aunty to make it a reality is a dream come true.

    OUR WHY

    We wanted to create swimwear that parents would love for their little one’s. Fashion forward, high quality, long lasting, functional, fun swimwear that would stand up to the Aussie elements.
